Tanzania to host World Travel Awards Africa & Indian Ocean Gala Ceremony 2025

It is June 28, 2025, the eyes of the world will turn to Tanzania, as we host the 32nd World Tourism Awards - Africa and Indian Ocean Region, an event that will be held at the luxurious Johari Rotana hotel, Dar es Salaam.

The Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Tourism, Dr. Hassan Abbasi, said:
“This hosting is a result of the great respect that Tanzania has built internationally through the great work of our President, Hon. Dr. Samia Suluhu Hassan, especially through the Royal Tour and other efforts to promote our country.”

🇹🇿 Tanzania is already shining internationally as the winner of the World’s Best Safari Tourism Destination (2024) award, now we are hosting more than 500 tourism stakeholders from various countries, and millions will follow this event on television and social media.

Preparations are complete. Tanzania is ready. The world is coming.
